Jessica Nguyen

Jessica Nguyen is a fully registered psychologist and is currently a Candidate for a Professional Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical). She is undertaking her degree at the Queensland University of Technology and has gained experience through her training at QUT, Redcliffe Hospital, the Queensland Police Service, Private Practice and through a Long-Term Psychodynamic Therapy placement. She has also worked at various Correctional Facilities conducting Drug and Alcohol Workshops, has been part of developing Well-Being Resources for the Queensland Law Society and has tutored in the area of Individual Differences and Assessment.

Jessica advocates for an integrative approach to therapy, incorporating:

  • Acceptance Commitment Therapy
  • With a special interest in Ecotherapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Jessica‚Äôs research explored Guided Imagery of Nature as an Intervention for Anxiety and her thesis papers have been submitted for review. Jessica will commence the Psychology Board of Australia’s Clinical Registrar Program in the second half of 2017.
