Counselling is a mutual process in which you and your psychologist will discuss issues which are concerning you. We provide a respectful, supportive environment to help you feel comfortable with your psychologist.
Individual counselling sessions are around 50 minutes and are confidential.
Your psychologist is trained in a number of different therapeutic approaches, for example,
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Acceptance Commitment Therapy
- Interpersonal Therapy and more.
During counselling, your psychologist may utilise techniques from a range of therapies to ensure the most effective outcome for you. You may also be asked to complete some ‘homework’ to help you understand what has been discussed or to practice new strategies.
By sharing your concerns in a respectful supportive environment and you can
- resolve past issues,
- overcome difficulties, and
- develop strategies to grow your life.
